Canopies and nibbles play an important part in throwing a party. Here at Arbutus Hospitality, we want to get you prepared for the party season and make sure your party is the one to remember. We have designed three show-stopping treats that are easy to assemble and will keep your guests happy. We will raise a glass to that!
Cranberry and Brie Bites:
Ingredients
Cranberry sauce
250g (8oz) puff pastry
125g (4oz) Camembert, sliced and cut into 16 squares
soft thyme leaves to serve
Method:
Preheat oven to Gas 6, 200°C, fan 180ºC and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Roll puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares about 2.5cm. Bake for 10 minutes until golden and risen.
Top each square with a small slice of Camembert and a spoonful of cranberry sauce. Return to the oven until the cheese melts.
Garnish with thyme and wait for them to cool. Then Enjoy
Chocolate Dipped Clementine's
Ingredients:
5 clementine oranges
60 g Dark Chocolate
sea salt or coarse salt
Method
Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside. Peel the mandarin oranges.
Melt chocolate in a microwave with a microwaveable bowl.
Dip each slice halfway into the melted chocolate and place on prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and repeat until all slices are evenly coated and sprinkled with salt. Place in fridge until chocolate has hardened. Then Enjoy!
Peanut Butter Cookies
Ingredients:
1 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, cut into cubes
1/2 c. milk
1 c. smooth peanut butter
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
2 1/2 c. old-fashioned oats
Method
Line a large baking sheet with greaseproof paper. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix sugars, butter, and milk. Bring mixture to boil and boil 1 minute.
Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla, and salt until mixed, then stir in oats.
Drop a tablespoon of mixture onto prepared baking sheet and let set until cooled and hardened. And Enjoy!
